Starting an FCA Ministry on Your Campus
We are excited that you are taking a step of faith to help make an Impact for God’s Kingdom on your campus. We look forward to a meaningful and fruitful relationship and ministry together. Here are the first steps you need to take in order get the ball moving!
1. PRAY - As you perhaps already have been. Have others join with you to see where the Lord will take your interest in starting an FCA huddle.
2. LEARN - Go to our national website at: www.fca.org and click on the Campus 101 icon in the upper right hand corner. Once you’re in, select your campus preference (Middle School, High School, or College).
Complete the first session entitled, “What Is FCA Ministry”. There you will find 7 short videos to watch which, all together, takes less than 20 minutes to view.
a. What is Ministry?
b. FCA History
c. FCA Today
d. FCA Ministries – the 4 C’s
e. Core Values
f. Statement of Faith
g. Ministry Distinctives
3. COMPLETE - Go back to our national website (www.fca.org) and fill out a Ministry Leader Application (MLA) or Student Leader Application (SLA) online. You will find the MLA link located in the right hand column under Hotpicks, second listing from the bottom.
Once you submit the MLA, our national office will forward a copy to our state office at which time we will send you additional information on your next step in this process.
4. IDENTIFY Student Leaders/Huddle Coaches - Identify the students who are most likely to be leaders in your FCA, and ask Christian adults to be Huddle Coaches. (It is ideal if the adults are coaches at your school.)
5. CONTACT – Once steps 1-4 have been completed, an FCA staff member in your area will contact you. Together, you will take the final steps of starting an FCA Campus Ministry at your school!
6. INFORM – Your school’s administration about the students and parents interest to start FCA on your Campus. Seek their blessing and keep them informed. |
